Robin Dominy Brock was raised in Dublin, Georgia and began studying music during elementary school with local piano teachers Sheryl Bazemore and Betty Pate. She also added oboe and organ to her studies throughout her middle and high school years. During high school, she began playing piano for worship services and accompanying the adult and youth choirs as well as soloists at Jefferson Street Baptist Church in Dublin, Georgia. She continued her high school private piano study with Dr. Robert Hallquist at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. Robin graduated from the University of Georgia in 1991 with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance. While at UGA she studied piano with Dr. Richard Zimdars and Dr. Martha Thomas and studied organ with Dr. Egbert Ennulat. She was also accompanist for the University of Georgia Concert Choir. In the fall of 1991, Robin moved to Fort Worth, Texas to attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where she earned her Master's Degree in Religious Education with an emphasis in Childhood Education. While at SWBTS, Robin was pianist and choir accompanist at Trinity Hills Baptist Church in Benbook, TX. She then served on staff at Lake Arlington Baptist Church in Arlington, TX as Children's Music Associate and Administrator of the Lake Arlington Academy of Music.
Following graduation from seminary, Robin served as pianist and choir accompanist at First Baptist Church in Milledgeville, Georgia and First Baptist Church in Gaithersburg, Maryland. She has provided piano instruction to students of all ages with private studios in Morristown, Tennessee; Milledgeville, Georgia; Gaithersburg, Maryland; and Bel Air, Maryland. She has also taught as a member of the piano teaching faculty at Columbia Institute of Fine Arts in Falls Church, Virginia and Wieuca Center for the Fine Arts In Atlanta, Georgia. In addition to private piano instruction, Robin has extensive experience in accompaniment and has collaborated with soloists, instrumentalists, guest artists and ensembles throughout her music career.
Robin relocated to Roswell, Georgia in the spring of 2015 and spent the summer of 2015 studying piano with Dr. Robert Henry. She currently offers private piano instruction as a member of the teaching staff at First Redeemer Conservatory of Music and Fine Arts in Cumming, Georgia.
